EDUCATIONAL VISITS AT CUSGARNE
GROWING MINDS ORGANICALLY
We warmly invite you to join us at Cusgarne Organic Farm for a series of nature-based learning experiences.

Each visit is a gentle adventure into the farm to observe details that will inform, and hopefully inspire, how we nurture ourselves and the natural world.
With every visit we'll dig further into scientific, observational, creative and reflective practices to better understand the farm and how farming, food production and conservation are connected.

The Visit Programme
Visit 1: Welcome to Cusgarne Organic Farm
An introduction to the farm, its history and the principles of organic farming that guide how the land is cared for.
If your group enjoy this introductory visit, join us for more visits - each a stepping stone to the next - to continue your learning journey. . .
Visit 2: Field Science
Explore, observe, question and document farm findings, learning how to use the most important tool in a scientists toolkit - a field journal.
Visit 3: Observation & Art
Build visual communication skills through observational drawing and nature-based art. Explore the role art plays in field science.
Visit 4: Creative Communication
Transform observation skills into poetry and creative writing. We will start to share personal perspectives and
discover our own voice through the farm.

Visit 5: Ecological Storytelling
Enjoy a memorable and potentially life changing journaling experience. We will then gather to share our stories through a beautiful oral storytelling practice.
Visit 6: Building Resilience
A celebration of all we have discovered together. We will create a supportive space to reflect on our journey together and explore how we can take all we have learned into our lives, to support each other and the natural world.
